A little bit about me

Photography is a great way to earn a living and after an earlier career working in computer graphics I decided a change was needed and retrained via the NCTJ course at Sheffield College to become a press photographer. News and sports photography is the area I enjoy the most. Observing people, what they're doing and the situations they find themselves in gives the opportunity to take great photographs and keeps the job interesting every day, being a photographer is never a dull occupation.

Over the last few years working for the Press Association I have had the opportunity to capture some great moments and sad moments involving famous faces and also ordinary members of the public at significant moments in their lives. Some examples of these can be seen in the galleries on this site. I have had numerous pictures published in all the leading national daily and Sunday newspapers as well as many UK regional papers, magazines and online.

I now work as a freelance photographer based in Yorkshire and I am able to travel much further afield across the UK. If you would like an event covering either news, sport or PR related please feel free to get in touch via my contact page.

Thank you
